Privacy Policy

What we collect

To run SeamCheck, we collect and store:

• Account information: your name, email address, and company.
• Drawings you upload, and the weld callouts (location, type, size, label, assignment, and status) you or your team create on them.
• Optional photos a welder attaches when marking a weld complete.
• Basic usage data needed to operate the app reliably (e.g. login timestamps, error logs).

How we use it

We use this information to run the Service for you: authenticating your account, showing you and your team the right drawings and welds, sending email notifications for things like new assignments and rejected welds, and displaying your company's dashboard. We don't sell your data, and we don't use your drawings or photos for anything outside providing the Service to your account.

Who can see your data

Drawings, weld data, and photos are scoped to your company. Managers can see everything for their company; welders can only see the welds assigned to them. We use Supabase to host the database, authentication, and file storage, and Resend to deliver transactional emails (assignment and rejection notices) — both act as service providers and don't use your data for their own purposes.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact us and we'll process the request, subject to any records we're required to retain by law.

Security

Access to your company's drawings, welds, and photos is enforced at the database level, so one company's data is never visible to another. Photos and drawings are stored in private file storage, not publicly accessible.

Children's privacy

SeamCheck is a business tool and isn't directed at or intended for use by children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to how we handle your data, we'll make a reasonable effort to let you know before they take effect.
